OCULA Wanaka has moved!
It's hard to keep a secret in a small town, and OCULA moving to Helwick Street quite possibly was one of the worst kept! But that's because we're just so excited, and we can't help sharing this with you!
As of Monday 15th April, OCULA Wanaka's new home will be 47 Helwick Street.
Why move? After 18 years at 80 Ardmore Street, we've simply out-grown our space. The new Helwick Street premises is two-stories, with an eyewear showroom downstairs and our clinical suites upstairs. We've been able to expand our optical laboratory to include an in-house repairs workshop. And our clinical suites now have two consulting rooms, a dedicated vision therapy room and a diagnostic suite.
This allows us to increase our clinical capacity, which means more appointment availability and more variety of treatment options.
Our larger showroom will house Wanaka's largest range of sunglasses and optical frames, giving you more choice and the best advice when it comes to both style and eye protection.
And as we close the doors at 80 Ardmore Street, one can't help but feel a little emotional. It's been quite the journey at 80 Ardmore Street. Eyes on Ardmore first opened its doors in 2001, which feels like yesterday and a million years ago, all at once! We've seen founder Mark Humphrey's sell the company to Danielle Ross, our current director and principal optometrist. We've seen the company change its name to OCULA, as it expanded into Queenstown, and recently Christchurch.
Though OCULA is growing and changing, as is Wanaka itself, there is one grounding, steady factor that keeps our feet planted firmly on our home soil; this wonderful community, and the loyal patients that support our local business.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and for sharing in our progress. Each and every one of our patients is an integral part of our business, and we can't wait to share this next chapter with you!
Keep your eyes peeled for an invite to our offical opening party soon!
